Working with the best breeding programs

Soloberry are the leading member of the Adelita club which allows us to produce high quality raspberries when required from October to June in Morocco, Portugal and Spain.

Soloberry own the exclusive rights to grow Earlyblue varieties across Europe & North Africa, producing large sweet blueberries from February through to August.

Strategic alliance

Demand for our product is continuously increasing, even with the continued expansion of our farms we still do not have enough land to grow all that we need and so we form strategic alliances with like minded growers in Spain and Morocco to ensure demand is fulfilled.

Morocco

Every berry matters at our group of farms, iBerry. Based in Larache in the north of the country and Agadir in the South.  We grow around 2000t of raspberry, 1700t of strawberry and 550t of blueberry.  From the start of September right through to June and fresh or frozen berries.  At iBerry we are producing high quality raspberries from the Planasa breeding programme; Adelita and Lupita.  Blueberries come from the Earlyblue varietal programme – This is an exciting programme  with numerous varieties for different timing, different climates and different flavour profiles with great eating quality for the consumer.  Strawberries grow well in Morocco and we have available Fortuna, Sabrina, San Andrea and Calinda; we are already exporting frozen strawberries to China.

United Kingdom

At Berries Direct Farming in Norfolk, on the East coast of England we are growing great British strawberries in glasshouse and tunnels to serve the latest varieties across nine months of the year.  Across two locations we are enjoying the British climate to bring traditional soft fruit as well as working with the latest varieties like Malling Centenary to yield great quality.  We trial new varieties each year at this site both under glass and polytunnel.  Our outdoor crop is Favori and Murano and we produce around 250t whilst under glass in the Spring and Autumn we produce just over 400t – at this time all our British berries go to UK supermarkets, however as we trial new varieties, improved shelf life may allow us to export.

Lithuania

Our latest venture has been to create Blueberry Baltic a strategic alliance with Harm Valcx in Kaunatava in the North East of Lithuania.  We grow mid and late season varieties, all the blueberries are well known varieties – Bluecrop, Aurora and Duke and have significant trials in Last Call and Cargo.  We have 26 hectares planted to date with space for an additional 34 hectares to grow into, with crop coming in August and September and shipping across Europe.
